DI KHAN: There is no reason for launching a military operation in the North Waziristan Agency, said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday.
Talking to media in his hometown Adbul Khel, Rehman said the authorities should inform the public about any success gained through previous operations conducted in Swat and the tribal areas by former military ruler Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led current government.
The JUI-F chief said the law and order situation has become worse, and important government places are now targeted.
“The rulers can control terrorism if they act upon parliamentary resolutions instead of dictation from outside,” Rehman said, adding that a military operation in North Waziristan overlooks parliamentary declarations.
Rehman remarked that on one hand, parliamentarians themselves are not respecting their own resolutions while on the other hand, they blame the Supreme Court for overstepping the parliament’s sovereignty.
Commenting on the recent sectarian violence in the country, the JUI-F chief said that the involvement of foreign hands cannot be overruled. “Such incidents are meant to spread panic but the nation has the ability to overcome fear,” he maintained.

Do they still think that once the US is out of the game in Afghanistan, the Taliban terrorists will throw away their AK-47, rockets and grenades and take up axes, shovels and other tools to start a new life? Had they done it after the withdrawal of the USSR forces from Afghanistan in the early 1990s? This is how fools think about this whole issue. Given that Afghanistan will be an easy target for them and that they will be boundlessly encouraged after the withdrawal of the US and NATO forces, these newly triumphant and power-hungery beasts will rather turn their guns full-time at Pakistan and try to grab power under the cloak of imposing Shariah. I do not Agree with you Maulana. First of all you should be preaching to your followers in Waziristan to stay away from extremism stop attacking Pakistani territory civilians and army. They should lay down their arms and declared as settled area of Pakistan.or they have choice to go and join Afghanistan. We do not want territory where there is no Pakistani law.

Give couple of crore rupees to Mullah Diesel and he will go silent as if he is on Aitkaf. It is men like him who made fortunes selling diesel, food etc to the so called mujahideen during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan and than again made quick bucks when Mush adopted a role in this war just on a phone call. Such mullahs will face the wrath of Almighty for making a mockery of religion and using their platform to indulge in politics of power, eager to sell their votes to who ever is in power. For how long will the apologists of the extremist elements save them through spurious arguments like these? If the Maulana is a sympathiser of the people, he should rather ask the extremists to inform the nation what kind of Islam they want in Pakistan for them to be satisfied and lay down their arms. In fact, they have already rejected all the religious parties that take part in elections and want a democratic system. So all those religious and political parties that oppose action against the extremists and militants should state clearly whose side they are on: a modern democratic system or a medieval form of theocracy espoused by the extremist militants. The people who are already tired of the terrorism these elements indulge in want the army to go ahead with the operation in right earnest, ignoring such spurious political statements that signify nothing.

Firstly, it seems appropriate that army complete it’s over due action (nation will not dis-appoint army) against JUI-F and it’s leaders, 2ndly go after TTP. Above all, nation wouldn’t mind if army collect Mullah’s, give them crash course n use this battalion as front line against TTP a.It will help Mullah’s to prove their loyalty to country; b.Will help reduce their over weight problems; c.TTP may like to see them being front line defenders of country.

Maulana should offer himself as a reformer … he should be sent to North Waziristan, ensure lasting peace and respect for the constitution and laws of Pakistan. He should ensure that all children in North Waziristan have access to full medical help, including necessary vaccination and all children have equal right to proper school education. Maulana should make sure all women, minorities and vulnerable groups of people are given their fundamental human right to live safely and securely. Maulana should also ensure that all non-Pakistanis (Uzbeks, Arabs, Afghans etc.) currently illegally living in North Waziristan and other FATA areas should be expelled from our lands.
Once Maulana can guarantee all of the above, I am sure it will not be hard to convince General Kayani not to launch an operation in his own country, risking the lives of not only its citizens but of the men and women of the Armed Forces.
Otherwise … he should just shut-up! Period.

That’s the crux of the problem. Nonsensical statements of the terrorists’ apologists should be taken seriously, and they should be made to answer for them. They should be asked to be explicit. Are they with the people of Pakistan or against them.
Operation is required not only against the extremists in Waziristatn but aginst all militatns, bhatta khors, target killers, kidnappers, and criminals of various kinds, including the white collar criminals. They are all dangerous, but some are more so. Forget about who will do it for the present. The first thing is to be clear what needs to be done. The second to get it done.

I dont know why my pakistani brothers are that much against TTP while they support Afghan Taliban. This is called hypocrisy. You people want Islam for Aghans but dont like it for yourselves.
