US drone strike kills nine in North Waziristan: Officials

Two US drones fired four missil­es on a vehicl­e in Shnakh­ura villag­e.

MIRANSHAH: At least nine militants were killed when a US drone targeted a vehicle in the Humzonee village, about 4km South West of Miranshah headquarters of North Waziristan on Tuesday at 7pm, a security official said.

The security official  told The Express Tribune, that it could not be ascertained whether high-ranking militants were among those killed, but added that four missiles were fired on the vehicle by the drone which destroyed the vehicle.

Humzonnee village is inhibited by the Dawar tribe and is located close to the Miranshah market of North Waziristan.

Earlier on Sunday, at least six militants were killed when US drones fired missiles twice on Sunday in North Waziristan Agency.

Nine people were killed and there is no means to verify that they were militants. Most probably they could be civilians as such there could be severe reaction from them. Is there any possibility that this bloodletting comes to an end and we could have peace in our tribal areas?

we fully endorse such attacks as long as they hit the right targets .. once again thanks to USA for fighting our part of evil .
