On a surprise visit to marketplaces in the city, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that militants had failed to sabotage the city’s peace and threatened to put criminals on trial “for their acts of injustice”.
Speaking to journalists on the eve of Eid, Memon said that the hustle and bustle of the bazaars in Karachi is a living proof that terrorists have failed in their nefarious designs to harm the city. These terrorists, he said, wanted to create fear among the city dwellers but the government would stop them in their tracks.
Memon added that President Asif Ali Zardari has spread his message of peace among the political and religious parties by offering a reconciliation policy. However, some miscreants are still hatching conspiracies against the country.
He also said that the government has taken positive steps to ensure law and order and the crowds of shoppers in the shopping centres showed that terrorists have failed.
Memon visited various markets in Clifton, Defence, Zamzama, Tariq Road, Hyderi, Saddar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal in Karachi.
While encouraging people to discuss their problems, he took a serious note of the price hike in the city.
He advised administratitive bodies dealing with price fixing to obey the orders of the government, saying that strict action will be taken against the officers found negligent.
He said that the Sindh Chief Minister had issued clear cut instructions to control the prices in a meeting called to discuss the issue. He said that it was responsibility of the administration to implement the CM’s instructions. He was accompanied by Senator Saeed Ghani, Deputy Commissioner South Karachi Mustafa Jamal Qazi, and other officials.

The bustling bazaars also show that the Government have failed in your nefarious plans to destroy the economy of the country.Recommend
Please dont take credit for this, it is obvious, the militants have also taken an Eid break. They can virtually do anything anywhere at there free will as we poor citizens know.

The other possibility is that people are ready to face whatever consequences may be just as they have bravely faced load shedding, target killing, inflation and other uncountable and immeasurable actions of this highly inept, completely incompetence and totally shameless administration.

SO what? people want to live too, don’t take credit for people wanting to live when you have totally failed as a Government. Next we will hear “people are breathing, proof we are doing very well and have eliminated all problems”.
Our airbases are not safe from the terrorists (they did manage to infiltrate the complex), you Minister travel with hundreds of security guards as your security escort.. so forget about us poor helpless citizens, we know our fate all too well.
