Writing letter: Government should provide valid reason for not obeying SC, says Imran

LAHORE: Claiming that Pakistan is the only country in the Third World which has a free judiciary, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said that the government should give a valid reason for its refusal to obey the Supreme Court’s order to write a letter to Swiss authorities.

The Supreme Court, in the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case, had ordered the government to write a letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Speaking to the media in Lahore on Wednesday, Khan said that the graft cases involve a huge amount of money and cannot be ignored.

Commending the judiciary, Khan said that the people of Pakistan have achieved an independent Supreme Court after a great struggle.

“A free judiciary is a blessing and the Pakistani nation should stand by it,” said Khan, adding that he and his party expect justice from the highest court.

He further said that it was the free and impartial apex court that had exposed high-profile corruption scams. “If there wasn’t a free judiciary, the corrupt leaders would have looted the entire country,” Khan stressed.

Imran is a jiyala of Iftikhar Ch. The ideas / comments of Imran are always irrational, illogical and impracticable. These comments are in addition prejudice, biased against PPP. Imran calls this judiciary as indepemdent and impartial. Even a man of ordinary prudence can judge that this judiciary is biased rather dead enemy of Zardari. The indepence of judiciary is due to weak, helpless political government and as saying by Aitzaz Ahsan, the judiciary is independent even from the constitution. As the weak government has laid down before the judiciary, they are trying to take all powers of Executive, Parliament and even of Presidency and bow down President. Zardari is struggling to save the prestige and immunity of the Head of State. But what is wrong is the fact that this confrontation, instability is damaging the economy of the country which will adversely affect the lives of poor people. The comments of Imran are condemnable.

    @Arsalan Iftikhar Phobia
Arslan Iftikhar and Malik Riaz saga has nothing to do with judiciary. Due to Following reasons:
    1) It was a matter between two people no one holding any government office.
    2) The money involved was not states money, it was again a business/blackmailing/whatever matter between two businessmen, bargaining for the best deal. No tax payers money involved.
    3) Even Malik Riaz admitting that despite Arsalans assurances he failed to get even a verdict in his favour MEANS Arsalan was not influencing the decisions of the court.
    4) NAB-FIA should better focus on those cases in which State money is involved like OGRA 84 Billion, Rental Power 400 Billion, OGDCL 45 Billion, Railways 125 Billion, NICL 6 Billion, Affi Drean 8 Billion, Swiss courts 600 million, Hajj Scam 2 Billion, PIA 20 Billion etc etc and many unsung scams.
Why people are shouting for a matter between two people, i cant understand

The judiciary is not interfering in the operational matters of the government. To investigate the financial corruption scams ” adversely affects the lives of poor people”?
    Isnt it all SC doing?
Also this is such a cowardly act to blame the institutions just to save the black money?
Gillani was always shouting Affi Drean case is to stop government from giving 5th budget. Please mention one case which supreme court should not have opened because it has damaged the country. Every single case SC investigated involved corruption, corruption and corruption.
It is shame that we dont hate those who feed themselves and their families on Haram Income.

CJ and apex court are working hard to put the country on right track and to take back the money of corrupt leaders, who looted from the country and are keeping it in foreign accounts. It is the time for the entire nation to think and think again, who is right and who is wrong. Who is working in the interest of the country and who are those who looted the money, and who are trying to bring that back. After knowing all facts, why some people are acting foolishly and showing their Jilaysim. There are some rotten eggs in public as well, who support the corrupts and bring them into power. Now in the next general elections, we have to think 1000 times to cast our vote. Otherwise, we will be destroyed by our own hands. Common man can change this system only and only by electing clean people and clean parties. Time is again coming and giving us a chance to change our fate and take revenge from the corrupt people sitting in power houses. Otherwise, time will wash away. Imran Khan should know that success can come into his hands by only with honesty and by making a Pakistan an Islamic Welfare State.

Unfortunately, I am quite old, although fit, and would be capable of filling any post from messenger boy through to a very capable adviser. Of course, this is only my opinion. However, I do still play cricket very well and if IK wanted some cricket practice I am an all-rounder, and could keep his reflexes at a very good level. That is if he does not wish me to play any longer than 30 minutes.

What does IK say about the abusive language used by Sh. Rashid against the PCO CJ? What is the stand of PTI about a fair and speedy trial of Arsalan? For those who make it an affair between Arsalan and Malik, are justifying the loot and booty of crown prince that was made while from the official residence of CJ. Last but not the least; the SC should not be aligned with any political party or leader. The creation of cult in the judiciary is a sickness and immoral.
