UAF staff: Certificates of 7, including 4 faculty, found dubious

Legal action would be taken against any university employee whose academic records were found to be bogus.

The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, has found academic certificates of four junior staff officials and three faculty members to be dubious, said a statement released on Sunday.


The statement quoted the vice chancellor, Prof Iqrar Ahmad Khan, as having ordered an inquiry into the matter.

It said legal action would be taken against any university employee whose academic records were found to be bogus.

The university had recently completed verification of the academic records of all of its 3,057 employees and found certificates of seven employeess, three of whom were faculty members, to be dubious.

The identity of these employees was not revealed.

The statement issued on Sunday said verification was done on directions of the Higher Education Commission.

The process has been completed over a period of two and a half years.
