PESHAWAR / GHALLANI:

Three schools were blown up by militants in Mohmand Agency and Peshawar on Friday.

According to details, unidentified militants blew up two government schools in the Safi tehsil of Mohmand Agency.

Confirming the incident, a political representative of Safi tehsil said that the blast had occurred in the small hours of Friday morning. “Unidentified militants blew up a boys’ primary school in the Sando Khel area and a portion of a newly constructed middle school in Mansoorkor Qandari,” said the official. He added that the boys’ school was completely dismantled, while the middle school was only partially damaged.

Education department statistics reveal that a staggering 100 schools have been destroyed in Mohmand Agency.

In Peshawar, an under-construction school in the Mattani area was also blown up by militants on Friday. The school was being reconstructed, after it was completely destroyed by militant bombings two years ago.

And once again your govt/military is MIA. Your sovereignty claims might have more traction if you demonstrated you had some control over what was happening on the ground in these territories.
