Two options before the Supreme Court

Options before the SC
SHARJAH: After reading Justice Katju’s pieces in your newspaper, I feel somewhat ashamed at the state of affairs caused by judicial activism in Pakistan. That said, one also has to look at whatever is going on in a positive manner; perhaps, for the first time, a government is not reacting to the diktat of the Court, and is in fact doing whatever the latter is saying, and that resulted in an elected prime minister sent home packing. The PPP under Asif Ali Zardari has done what many with power have not done: show restraint.

Abbottabad’s traffic woes
Sir, you seem to be a real opmitimist, frankly to the extant of self-deception. How do we see in “positive manner” something as horrible as what you yourself recognize and acknowledge as, “I feel somewhat ashamed at the state of affairs caused by judicial activism in Pakistan.”. In my view we must condemn this and every other action by anyone that causes shame for us, a national shame.
