LAHORE: A petition was filed at the Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday to declare resumption of NATO supplies to Afghanistan through Pakistan as illegal. The petition has been filed by Barrister Zafarullah Khan, who has submitted that the resumption of NATO supplies was violation of the resolutions passed by the parliament in this regard and was a threat to the integrity of the state. The petitioner said that the restoration of supplies will lead the country to the centre of terrorism. He also said some of the weapons supplied through Pakistan will later be used against Pakistan. He said the resumption of supplies on July 4 was followed by two missile attacks on the Pakistani soil that claimed lives of more than 20 citizens. He said the US was supporting a separatist movement in Pakistan. The petitioner requested the court to declare the resumption of supply illegal.
