PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is all set to stage a “mega rally” in Peshawar on July 14 to protest against the government’s failure to overcome the ongoing energy crisis in the country.

The rally will be lead by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, said the party’s provincial spokesperson Shah Farman in a statement issued to the media on Friday.

Farman said that the rally would be a peaceful one and appealed to the common man to join them. He also claimed that the rally would be the biggest against power outages in Peshawar’s history.

In the statement, he said that the government was not living up to the expectations of the people, adding that it had failed to solve the energy crisis and the ever increasing corruption in government departments.

    @ Sameer Awan, Yes I clearly remember that No one was allowed to meet Shahbaz Sharif at the camp and They used ‘Kunda’ to run the Air Coolers & Fans though the protest was against Load Shedding. How sweet is that.

    @Sameer Awan:
    so u mean that there’s NO LOAD-SHEDDING now and thanks to Shahbaz sharif rallies? why is he NOT there now. and for your kind information and no disrespect, those rallies were hijacked by PMLN, they were ordinary people like me n u protesting and in came Shahbaz sharif and tried hijacking rallies, people got fed up of it and stopped coming out.

    shahbaz sharif got the treatment n he’s NO WHERE now. plus now that the country is in a mess the Sharif Sr is in London as usual. what a shame and what a hypocrite of a party.

    PMLN know fully well that Imran Khan’s protests are genuine and people will NOT come out n join pmln protest call at the same time so let him do his protest n latter start again. Recommend

    We look forward to see Imran Khan and we welcome him. He talks the talk and walks the walk. He has done every good thing in his capacity and I am sure that he will bring prosperity to the nation in distress. We don’t want any more thugs who keep public money in foreign banks and do business in foreign countries.

    Though freedom to protest is all well and good, but people also have the freedom to ignore them and most of the population being distressed over energy needs isn’t something they aren’t already aware of. Do I have an alternative to offer? Not really. But even using the time for thinking of that alternative is more productive.

    Each step of IK is the most genuine, on the other hand, shahbaz sharif is total drama. Sasti roti, danish school, taxi scheme and last but not the least and the most famous “LAPTOP”, all of them are meant to draw media attention and self projection, a huge investment for just a tiny bit of public favor but mostly for drama. “great” sharif bothers, they go straight to london even if they feel headache and imran even got operated from shaukan khanam. that actually elaborates the phenomenal mentality of the two personalities. sharifs only want to rule here and keep their personal interests outside the countryand IK wants to make pakistan as good as other developed countries “wo din aaiy ga jub log pakistan main nokrian dhondnay aaien gy”"
