KARACHI: While travelling in a car with my friend on Shahrah-e-Faisal the other day, I noticed a youngster on a motorbike, riding at a considerably high speed beside us. When I looked closely, he was typing out a text on his mobile phone as he rode.
Using mobile phones while driving is an offence and drivers are often fined for it but it appears that this rule does not apply to owners of two-wheelers, who are often seen attending phone calls or texting while on the go. The authorities concerned must take notice of this practice and put a stop to it.
