The district and sessions court Khairpur on Thursday awarded death penalty to Inayatullah Solangi and life sentence to Perwez Solangi for kidnapping and killing Farman Solangi, a student of ninth grade in 2007. They abducted Farman to equal a score with his father Mohammad Azam Solangi.

Bhatt told journalists that in 2007, Inayatullah’s wife Sonia Begum filed an application for divorce. But Inayatullah blamed Mohammad Azam Solangi for instigating his wife to file divorce suit, declared him karo with his wife.

On September 5, 2007 Farman was kidnapped at gunpoint by Inayatullah and Perwez, the lawyer told journalists. The people of the area chased the kidnappers but they shot the boy dead and escaped. The boy’s father, Mohammad Azam Solangi, lodged an FIR with Setharja police against Inayatullah Solangi and Perwez Solangi.
