Euro 2012: Ton-up Xabi satisfied with performance

Cesc Fabregas said nobody should compare him with Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi insisting he is a totally different kind of player even if with the Spanish he has been called upon to shoulder some goal-scoring responsibilities.
Messi has also been called a ‘false number nine’ like Fabregas but his role with Barca is much wider-ranging, while he is also a natural goal-scorer.
“I have never compared myself with Messi, that would be silly,” said Spain’s ‘false number nine’. “I play where the boss puts me. We are talking about the best player in the history of football. I hope nobody expects me to beat five players and score.”

@Ali:
Honestly speaking, Messi is a better player than Zizou.

Agree. Cesc is a completely different player . He is a natural playmaker and the best position for him is Centre Midfield. But Alas, Spain also has one of the best playmakers in the world, Xavi.

Zizu was a playmaker…not a goal scorer…comparing Zizu to Messi is the same as comparing Casillas with Ronaldo….

Messi needs to win the worldcup and take his team to worldcup final before comparing to Zidane.
