Own house in order

Published: June 24, 2012

BAYONNE, NJ, US: This is with reference to your editorial “A judicial coup?” (June 19). It seems as if Pakistan is being prepared for yet another military takeover. Also, if I may say with the utmost of respect, the judiciary needs to set its own house in order as well.

How about doing something about the lawyers who threw flowers and garlanded Salmaan Taseer’s killer as he came to a court hearing last year? Also, what about the judges who show rowdy behaviour in the courts and have thrown shoes at them. Also, why isn’t action being taken against Arsalan Iftikhar?

I like to add, if I may! What is the Criteria, Logic or Judicial Conscience for picking one case over another? Also, Why other countries refrain from deposing Ruling Public Leaders unless or until it’s National Safety issue but we do this job as early as possible?
