Trade: Untapped export potential discussed

TDAP Chief Executive discussed issues regarding public-private interaction for increasing local exports.

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Friday urged the government for adopting a strategic approach to increase exports from the country.


The business community in a meeting with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief Executive Tariq Iqbal Puri discussed issues regarding public-private interaction for increasing local exports.

Tariq Puri said that market research and participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions can help tap new export opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, ICCI Acting President Asad Farid said that the Export Display Centre which is being built with the focus to introduce Pakistani exportable products to international buyers and diplomats will be completed in a year.
