KARACHI:
The Karachi Goods Carriers Association claimed that last week’s police encounter near Jamshoro was genuine, but is being presented as fake. Four suspected robbers were allegedly killed by the police. Javed Akhtar of the transporters’ body said that the police were working when the bandits looted their vehicle.
“The robbers were killed when the police retaliated,” he said. Claiming that the transporters are being threatened, the association’s office bearers warned that goods supply will be suspended, if their concerns are not addressed.
