BERLIN: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany Abdul Basit, presented his letter of credence to the president of the federal republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck, at a ceremony. On arrival at Palace Bellevue, the ambassador was received by the chief of protocol and escorted to the presentation hall where he was welcomed by the president and his personal staff. After the presentation ceremony, Basit remained with the president and exchanged views on bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany. The ambassador briefed the German president on Pakistan’s perspective on issues relating to peace and stability in the region.
