SANGHAR: Shahid Khan Thaheem, the second eldest son of the late Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Abdul Salam Thaheem, won the by-polls by a landslide for PS-83 in Sanghar district on Tuesday, according to the unofficial results obtained by The Express Tribune. According to the results, Thaheem secured 49,526 votes. His competitors, Awami Tehreek’s Muhammad Rafique Jakhro got only 563 votes while an independent candidate, Tehseen Zaban, polled 258 votes. Both the runners up alleged that the PPP government rigged the elections in favour of the PPP candidate.
