LAHORE: Protests against loadshedding in Punjab have intensified, with demonstrators beginning to target the homes of MNAs and MPAs.

Outraged civilians targeted the house of Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) MNA Riaz Fatiana in Kamalia. Two people were killed as a result of retaliatory firing by guards present at Fatiana’s house.

Police and protesters continued to clash regularly in the area.

In Khanewal, protesters attacked Heraj house and set a portion of it on fire.

Protests continue in Punjab, Sindh

Sukkur, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jacobabad and various other areas of Sindh are also suffering from hours-long power outages, where infuriated mobs have protested.

At least 10-12 hours of loadshedding in cities and 12-16 hours of no power supply in villages has miserably affected businesses and industries.

There was one death not two in Kamalia. There is no way to attack private property with petrol bottels and iron rods. Self defence law is available all over the world. When you will burn many vehicals, motorcycles and home of some one, than be ready for return fire or reaction. This is not the way of a wised nation to burn every thing on the name of protest. That is failure of Punjab government and police of district Toba Tek Singh. Because, there is same DPO Ahsan Younas, who was previously responsible for protection of Srilankan cricket team on Liberty markeet, Lahore. He failed to stop violent protesters and preventive measures. First he should be sacked, than chief minister Punjab should be resigned on motivation for violance to protesters.

@zeeshan: There was one person killed not two. Secondly if a croud enter in your home with arms, iron rods and petrol bottels to burn you and your home, what will you do ??. Unfartunately violance will push our country into a fail state. where no body will be saved.
