Supreme Court beefs up security for high profile cases

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court announced late on Monday night that due to some high profiles cases being presented before it, security at the courts is being icreased.

An announcement read “the Supreme Court of Pakistan is currently seized with the hearing of high profile cases, therefore, to preserve and maintain order, decorum and dignity of the Courtroom and for smooth functioning of the Court.”

The new measures being implemented at the Islamabad premises of the apex court include stricter regulations for entering the court.

No cell phones will be allowed within court premises.

In addition to the police squads inside and outside the courts being beefed, the Court will also be installing special security cameras.
