KARACHI: The workers of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) machinery pool department continued their protest for the third consecutive day on Wednesday against the decision to shift their department from Mewashah to Mehmoodabad. The workers boycotted work, which affected garbage-collection in Saddar, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Gadap and Baldia. KMC’s CBA leader, Syed Zulfikar Shah, said that the employees who did overtime were not even paid for the extra work and drivers had not been given grade-9, promised to them around five years ago.
