KARACHI: The namaz-e-janaza for Mehdi Hassan will be offered at Shahrae Pakistan after Friday prayers, stated his son, Arif Mehdi on Thursday. He will be laid to rest at Muhammad Shah graveyard in North Karachi. Meanwhile Sindh IT minister, Raza Haroon said that he had requested the Sindh governor to announce a holiday on Friday so that more people would be able to attend funeral of the legendary singer. He said that a mausoleum of Mehdi Hassan should be constructed in Karachi.
