thats funny bro..only once their governor went out for a change of air visit to dubai n that doesnt mean they are opposing PPP..they can never come into power alone as a party in Sindh so they ought to grap this coaltion thing just to grap port ministry n some other ministries of their interest..they supported Musharraf for almost 10 years, they had great opportunity to do many things if thery were really interested but how…. they were the part of status cuo

Speaks alot about MQM if they are in the “opposition” even after joining coalition. Doubt many parties will trust MQM from here on end.

@saqib: even the most naive person can see what’s going on in the parliament and the political circles in Pakistan. and u r right, you need not be a whizz-kid to figure that out. Right now MQM is not even speaking against the Govt’s corruption charges and other mis-adventures and you still speak that way in their favor. May Allah guide us all. Thanks and full-stop.

yeah i speak I alot in favor of MQM any problem with that? we elect MQM to get in to assemblies being a minority they do more than expected why you people dont wanna see common people there? or just wana see chowdries, makhdooms, sardars, gilanis etc? MQM is the only party who has challenged these agencies, establishment and Feudalism which is rotting up Pakistan thats y they always subjected to blames and atrocities even nothing is proved till now, no corruption charges came up till date,, CJP in highest court has acknowledged MQM as representative of common people and said Mustafa Kamal has set an example for all,no family politics, they do their home work like shadow Budget, NRO case, petroleum prices, de weaponization bills, province issues, 18th amendments etc, whose elected representatives still lives in rented apartments, drive motorcycles no bullet proof vehiclees, whose workers are approachable anywhere any time, party who has vision, policy and far sightedness as in case of Talibinization of Karachi , SWAT deal and its failure etc,First party who talk about revolution which was ridiculed and now being followed,Only party which can gather millions of people in jalsa with gracefull discipline andI am proud of it.

Karachi is the only place where all ethnicity lives in one place except well known no go area of ANP and lyari gangster, If you go to 90 you can see Pathan chai wala on road. anyhow lets agree to disagree nice conversation. This incident is clear indicator that MQM itself is the victim of extortion money and target killing too. Those who say that MQM is the only biggest gangster group of metropolis, infact they are living in fools’ paradise. It is undeniable fact that except PPP, all political parties are responsible for violence in karachi. I appreciate President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari who banned Peoples Amn committee(PAC) long long ago, because PAC wanted to work under the umbrella of PPP, but kudos to PPP government, they banned PAC straightaway. Target killing, extortion, kidnapping and all sort of violence can only be tackled by President Zardari’s approach, he disowned his own people who wanted to become part of violence, All politcal parties need to follow zardari’s footsteps to bring peace in karachi. Will all political parties leaders disown their militant wings for the sake of peace in Karachi?

    Dear Dr Saifur Rehman,

I humbly request you not to distort the fact about karachi and MQM. Karachi is worst off after the creation of MQM , why do you forgot that there were the times in karachi when Corp Commander of karachi intervened and get released hundred of workers of both MQM and PPP who were severely tortured by both groups.
Why do you forgot that hundred of pushtoons have been driven out of karachi , there small business were attacked and torched , to be honest right now i am out of karachi but last year when i visited i dont see a single pushtoon chaee hotels in MQM dominated areas.
It is the MQM who started the culture of boi band lashain and extortion (bhatta khori).
Thousands of urdu speaking MQM and MQM (H) workers killed mercilessly in the street of karachi. I have a long list of details.
Our urdu speaking brothers should ask this question to themselves that if they continuosly support MQM , their children will only become target killers nothing else.

Sad incident and loss of life is fully deplorable.

But just because this is a brother of someone with political background makes it special – what a shame, life of a common citizen has no value – the same common man will sleep hungry tomorrow (due to the strike) and also may loose his life or property just because that’s the best way for our political parties to make a strike a success!

In good old days they were very few strikes but then they use to make a difference, these days CNG and politically motivated strikes are no different as both happens many times with each time common people suffering the most, and there is no ultimate outcome.

May God help us, as we are not interested in helping our self.

@ saqib…..there was a time i used to support MQM but after seeing their MNA’s marching towards the supreme court to support MR. GILANI i changed my opinion for them and why was altaf hussaun trying to run to SOUTH AFRICA after the raids at MQM offices in London after the death of Imran Farooq. only two ppl i respect in that organization is DR.FAROOQ SATTAR and MUSTAFA KAMAL for the work they have done in Karachi. Rest of the organizaton is a political mafia.

you have gone literally blind, Karachiites are addicted to the Doodh Pati and Parathas of Pathan Dhabas, like me and most of us consume these daily, I really doubt you have been to Karachi. I live in F.B.Area and there are atleast 10-15 dhabbas within 1 Km radius of my house. (F.B.area is the Strongest hold of MQM since its inception).
