French Open: Sania Mirza, Mahesh Bhupathi storm into mixed doubles final

PARIS: Sania Mirza and mixed doubles partner Mahesh Bhupathi advanced into the final of the Roland-Garros 2012 mixed doubles finals.

The all Indian pair won straight sets against Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhastan and Daniele Bracciali of Italy, triumphing 6-4, 6-2.

They will now face Klaudia Jans-Ignacik (Poland) and Santiago Gonzalez (Mexico) in the final. Jans-Ignacik and Gonzalez had won their semi-final match against Elena Venina (Russia) and Leader Paes (India) 7-6 and 6-3.

    Give me a break. It is a sport and nothing to do with nationality. Most doubles pairs are from different countries. He just needs a player who complements him and make him better as a team.

    @ashok sai : She is still an Indian, dude. Marrying a Pakistani doesn’t make you one. And moreover, in mixed doubles nationality is not an issue.
