ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar and Minister for Water and Power Naveed Qamar had their portfolios swapped in a high-profile cabinet reshuffle on Saturday, Express News reported.
The post of defense minister will now be filled by Naveed Qamar whereas the former defense minister will now become the minister for water and power.
Earlier, it was reported that after the government presents the budget, the government would move towards a high profile swap in the cabinet due to the poor management in the Ministry of Water and Power.
A restructuring of the ministry is also expected after the change in its managers.
In the last cabinet reshuffle, Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira was appointed the new Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan was appointed to the National Regulation & Services ministry.
