GHALANAI: A government girls’ primary school was destroyed in the Tehsil Safi of Mohmand Agency late on Tuesday when unidentified militants planted explosives near the building, confirmed an education department official.

The official said that a boys’ school was destroyed in the area of Qayyumabad in the Tehsil Safi by militants earlier this week.

“The number of the destroyed school in Tehsil Safi reached 51, while in the agency it rose to 97,” he added.

He said that now they will run these schools in tents. “We will provide tents to the students after the summer vacation, not now.”

Talking to a journalist from an undisclosed location, Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson Ihsanullah Ihsan claimed responsibility for the attacks on schools that were blown-up this week.

    @ashar:
    Absolutely this is a conspiricy to defame our scholars the maulanas who can do no wrong – we must destroy all schools and building and live in mudhuts and caves. Education is BIDAH and we need to live simple lives and hope other nations and peoples throw aid on us when the going gets tough!

    lets have a grand mullah republic and we replace islam with the worship of mullahs
