NA speaker’s ruling on PM’s conviction (III)

Published: May 26, 2012

LAHORE: The speaker of the National Assembly should have done the right thing and this was to send a reference to the Election Commission based on the verdict given by the Supreme Court in Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s contempt case. By her actions, or rather inactions, the speaker has left herself vulnerable to the charge of being partial and biased in favour of her party.
