NA speaker’s ruling on PM’s conviction (II)

Published: May 26, 2012

ISLAMABAD: It is an open secret that the establishment as well as the judiciary in the past had held a grudge against the PPP-led governments. Even in the case of the current dispensation, problems were first created through memogate and the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the matter. When that failed, the prime minister was targeted but he, too, stood his ground and rightly responded by saying that he owed his post to the people of Pakistan who had elected him.

Not only the establishment and the judiciary, the whole world has a grudge against the PPP. The French government deliberately reduced the salaries of its ministers so that Pakistanis would wonder why their government was not doing the same. There was no need for the Hungarian and German presidents to resign, even though they enjoyed immunity. They resigned only to make Pakistanis put pressure on their president to resign. Leaders all over the world try to reduce unnecessary expenses, so that our government would be forced to do the same. Yes, the whole world is conspiring against the PPP!Recommend
