The newly promoted doctors in the province would soon receive their posting orders, announced the provincial government services and administration department secretary, Iqbal Durrani, on Tuesday.
A delegation of doctors led by Pakistan Medical Association Sindh president Dr Samrina Hashmi and Sindh Doctors Welfare Association convener Dr Mujtaba Memon met Iqbal to discuss the issue before the start of the new fiscal year.
Dr Hashmi told The Express Tribune that nearly 550 doctors were promoted from BPS 19 to 20 and from BPS19 to 20 last year, after waiting for nearly 19 years.
Dr Hashmi added that if the posting orders for the doctors were not given before the end of this month, then they could lose their benefits for the year.
