Toilets at the Pakistan High Commission

Letter May 21, 2012
The office has toilets for visitors in its basement which makes it impossible for disabled persons to access them.

LONDON: During his recent visit to the UK, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani inaugurated a hall in the Pakistan High Commission. I would assume this is to cater to a greater number of visitors seeking visa or consular support at the mission. However, one thing is lacking and which I would like to bring to the attention of the Pakistan High Commissioner, His Excellency Wajid Shamsul Hassan. This relates to the lack of toilet facilities for disabled persons and those who are aged and infirm. At present, the mission’s has toilets for visitors in its basement and this means that anyone who comes in a wheelchair or is disabled will find it next to impossible to access them. I would suggest that new ones be made on the floor where visitor services are offered.
