The curse of power outages

Published: May 20, 2012

KARACHI: The curse of power cuts has become like a chronic disease that damages the normal life of people in this country. Yes, if it were an occasional occurrence, no one would have bothered about it, but to experience power outages for as much as 12 hours in a day is asking a bit much from even the most patient.

What is perhaps even more unfortunate is that the government does not seem too overly moved about this situation because no mitigating measure seems to have been made to ease the suffering of people on this account.

The power breakdown has become headche for the civilians, especially the students suffer alot. The passing and coming months are the examination ones.Loadshedding is an hindrance towards their studies as it distracts them. They can not fully and properly concentrate. The unannounced and sudden cut of power supply for many hours is worst at night. Therefore, there is an anxious need to look upon the matter as early as possible. To overcome the shortage and provide a better and effectual supply.
