WASHINGTON DC: This is with reference to the May 16 article titled “Bannu attack: Taliban release video of brazen jailbreak”. To quote from the report: “The video begins with Tehreek-e-Taliban chief Hakeemullah Mehsud pledging to fight the Pakistani government “to the last man and last bullet.” Only in Pakistan such barbarous butchers receive sympathy and offers for infinite negotiations and accommodation from apologists like the PTI and the Jamaat-e-Islami. There is nothing the Taliban can do that would cause revulsion and outrage in our confused nation — thanks to the confused leaders who can’t see beyond America/Israel/India.

I think writer likes PPP govt. who destroyed this country with no plans for the future and are lost in dark. This letter gives nothing accept blind eye. My dear why was not jail was gaurded properly if that is high profile jail?????. Who made those barbarian butchers???? I am not fan of Taliban or any other militant organisation. Your letter failed to analyse actual problem here. BigGest problem is our PPP govt and all parties awho are involved in the govt. They all lie.

Please, don’t make excuses for Israel, India, and USA. Do you even realize how many crimes against Muslims these countries have committed? You are worried about a few people killed by the Taliban? Shame on you. Pakistani people will be on the side of justice and Muslims to the last man and last bullet – proud to say that!

I agree with the writer. All taliban sympathizers should be packed up and sent to waziristan with thier families. I am sure they would be much happier there with their dear colleagues. Strange they always choose the west to live whom they consider thier enemy.

Do you really believe that? Where is the justice when the Taliban kill Pakistani soldiers and innocent civilians that are also Muslims? How can you compare the atrocities committed by the Taliban against other Muslims with the US, India or Israel?Recommend

You must realize that this war is with you, the U.S, or anyone who dares take a stand against these terrorists’ evil ideology. Our nations would have parted ways long ago if it wasn’t for our common stance against terrorism. It’s our shared will and desire to defeat terrorism that continues to binds us together. Those who are attempting to turn this WOT into war on religion are only falling victim to conspiracy theories. And let’s not forget, we have many Muslim partner nations fighting alongside us in the WOT. It is a fact that the terrorist organizations like the TTP are responsible for the killings of thousands of people in Pakistan alone. And those who are oblivious to this fact can see how conspiracy theories are plaguing their thinking. Our nations have made a lot of sacrifices, and lost thousands of brave soldiers in fighting these terrorists. No two other nations could understand each other’s sacrifices more. You still see our governments working hard to overcome our differences and create a better working relationship. That would not have been the case if the U.S viewed Pakistan as an enemy. We look forward to working side by side with Pakistan in bringing peace and stability to the region.
