PESHAWAR:

The PHC has enlisted around 92 cases of missing persons to be heard today (Wednesday) where high-ranking officials of the armed forces, civil services and police along with officials from Fata have been summoned to appear before the court.

Sources within the PHC told The Express Tribune that there were a number of habeas corpus petitions filed by relatives of the missing persons and the chief justice has issued instructions to court staffers to enlist maximum number of habeas corpus petitions for today’s (Wednesday) cause list.

“This is something that would not only help rapidly dispose of the petitions but would also help the officials concerned to find ways to resolve the issue,” sources added.
