Ali Musa Gilani, son of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, said that he was being targeted in the ephedrine case because he is the premier’s son, Express News reported on Monday. Ali Gilani said this in a statement submitted to the Supreme Court.
Recording his statements at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) office, Gilani said that at the time when the ephedrine quota was allegedly allotted, he was studying abroad and he had not called former director general health Dr Rasheed Jumma regarding the quota.
He further accused ANF Regional Director Brigadier Fahim Ahmed Khan of initiating a fake investigation against him.
Ali Gilani’s lawyer Fawad Chaudhry told the media that no evidence has emerged against his client in the case.
He has been named in the Supreme Court as the main accused in the multi-million-rupee ephedrine scandal.

If there are no proof, they can be manufactured like Memo, especially if the PCO courts make it a priority against the PPP. How this import of medicine was inistially turned into drug dealings. With your father blatently removing or transferring all concerned with your case to try ensure his son is safe............your contention of being victimised does not stand.
I think the ANF should focus on its work instead of dabbling in politics. While they were chasing the red herring of ephedrine scandal, two major consignments of drugs were smuggled to UK and UAE. Isn't it negligence on the part of the ANF? The PM should take action against those responsible for bringing a bad name to the country through their negligence and probable connivance.
Its not because you are PM's son, but because you used your father's position to circumvent international laws that set quotas on production of certain chemicals used in production of drugs. And you still feel you are innocent ? And tell me, was your father aware of what his ladla was up to ? That is what I want to know.

fair enough in Pakistan one can say the case is fake, but what about the world body which also names you in there general report.
