ISLAMABAD: During the hearing of Balochistan security case in the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Caudhry said that if Inspector General Frontier Corps (IG FC) Balochistan Obaidullah Khattak did not show up before the court, strict action would be taken against him, Express News reported on Friday.
Expressing discontent, the chief justice said, “The IG FC will have to come."
He also added that during the last hearing, the IG had been ordered to present missing persons.
“Why haven’t they been brought before the court?” said the chief justice.
“Ask the IG at what time he will be able to come today.”
The chief justice said that the federal government was not taking any interest in the affairs of Balochistan.
The court, taking a strong stance, ordered CCTV footage from a camera outside a private hotel, adding that if the footage was not presented, the corps commander would be summoned with the footage.

According to a newspaper report today:
It's time some of these FC people were tried and thrown in jail. It's no wonder the IG FC, a serving major general, prefers not to obey the CJ's summons to appear in court.
One wonders why the govt/military officials don't just tell the justices that the "missing persons" are classified as "missing" because they don't know where they are - end of story. Probably never dawned on your judges that if your govt really knows where the "missing persons" are they are guilty of kidnapping and other offenses and should be removed from office and tossed in jail.
Gillani may have been a prime minister but he was nevertheless a civilian.
The IG FC Balochistan is a serving major general and appears to be in no mood to take orders from a civilian head of the Supreme Court.
BS: If PM can be held for contempt. Why not IG FC corps commander Balochistan. Don't blame the Feds. Actions speaks itself.
Any contempt of court proceedings against IG FC? Of course not. One rule for PPP and another for military masters.

Baluchistan Police is responding very positively, its time that CJ orders Police to arrest IGFC and present him before Honorable SC.
