Police: 3 model stations in Bahawalpur division

RPO said closed circuit cameras will be installed in reporting rooms, lock-ups and office of the investigation officer

Three police stations in Bahawalpur division (one each in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan districts) have been declared model stations,  Regional Police officer Captain (retd) Abid Qadri said at a ceremony to mark promotion of Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta to the office of senior superintendent of police.


Baghdadul Jadeed police station in Bahawalpur and Saddar Chishtian police station in Bahawalnagar will be upgraded as model stations. A station has yet to be selected for the upgrade in Rahim Yar Khan.

The RPO said closed circuit cameras will be installed in reporting rooms, lock-ups and the office of the investigation officer. Live feed from these cameras will be transmitted to monitor screens set up in the offices of the district police officer and the regional police officer. Each of these stations will be equipped with three vehicles and three motorcycles.
