SARGODHA: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Sargodha on Saturday rejected the bail plea of former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Aslam Madhyana in the FIR registered against him for torturing a school teacher and breaking both his legs, Express News reported.
During the hearing, the apex court asked the teacher, Nafees Khan whether he had personal rivalries with the former MPA, upon which he replied, “My only crime is that I called him the ‘grandmother of thieves’ in the DPO’s open court”.
The accused will be indicted in the next trial which will be held on May 10.
A division bench of the Lahore High Court had extended a stay order stopping the ATC from passing a final order in the case against Madhyana who according to the police, along with his accomplices had attacked the 60-year-old school teacher.
Madhyana looks like an uneducated and uncultured idiot.

A politically strongman lingers in jail while the target killers of Karachi continue to roam the streets and terrorize the massesRecommend
What jerks this power loving party harbors! Can you ever chair a party like that in Oxford Mr Bilawal? They are going to throw you out in less than a moment. Good for this poor man for telling off the scum MPA for being exactly what he is.

Put him away for life … Such heinous crimes should have repercussions.

What a shame this man is still not in jail. In a country where courts and judicial system is nothing more than a joke and where government is composed of criminals, the better solution would be to bring the father and son on roads, break all their limbs and throw them there. Tit for tat seems only option.

@ star, so you judge people from their dress and looks. You are really a very eductated person.

@ Omer, why put him in jail for life, just because you don’t like his looks. Has he murdered someone? Punishment should fit the crime and in Pakistan’s penal code, every crime and punishment is prescribed. Excessive punishment is not a justice. Those who act this way, often do not punish strong and mighty.

Teacher is nation builder, Pakistani people dishonour their future builders, how they can claim a modern and civilized nation. Bad is good and good is bad in Pakistan. It is a state of dead bodies who walk and eat and die but nothing more. Lower in grade than animals.

There should be no leniency toward the accused because others will do the same if the law is not upheld fully in this case. It is sad affair in Pakistan when these people join political parties and get elected or selected by hood or crook mostly crook , they begin to think that they are above the law and do as much corruption to recover their so called investment. I appeal to the court to make him an example within the laws of the country.

@star:
From your comment it very much seems that you are not only culturaly uneducated but also you judge people by their looks. Whatever he did should be judged, not how he looks or what he wears! Recommend
@star. Madhyana appears as a symbol of the Feudal power. His previlege to torture a Kammi “school teacher,” must be honored.Recommend
Star is right. A lot can be said about a person from his looks and style.

He has only one option to leave PPP Recommend
The only person who can take the credit of sending Madhyana behind the bars is our much loved and equally much hated CJP Iftikhar Chaudhary. When did the last time we saw rich and powerful behind the bars in Pakistan????
PS: Where is former religious affairs minister Hamid Kazmi?
