BAHAWALPUR: A resident of Tailwala village was accused of murdering a neighbour on Thursday for refusing friendship. Mohammad Bakhsh, the grandfather of Irshad Bibi, a student of grade 10, said that their neighbour Ibrar, 22, would tease his granddaughter and ask her to befriend him. He said she had told him about it and he had called Ibrar and warned him. “He returned a little later and shot Irshad,” Bakhsh said. Ibrar was arrested after a complaint was lodged with Yazman police by Baksh. Ibrar denied the charge.
