The ongoing operation in Lyari by law-enforcement agencies is proving to be fruitless.
KARACHI: The ongoing operation in Lyari by law-enforcement agencies is proving to be fruitless. Almost a week has passed since the operation started and the police have not made much headway. It seems that the police lack in planning skills and do not have access to heavy weaponry, while on the other hand, the terrorists in Lyari are using advanced guns and ammunition.
The people of Lyari are going through great mental anguish and are also running out of food and water. It is of utmost importance that peace and harmony is established in Lyari as soon as possible and a foolproof plan is made to eliminate those who have are bent upon destroying Lyari.

Apparently the PPP Govt. is not interested in sorting out the Liyari stand off otherwise they would have requisitioned the rangers to crush the resistance.
