‘DPC will continue to oppose NATO supplies resumption’

HYDERABAD:

As doubts linger over the government reopening the Nato supply lines, Jamatud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed has made his stance clear over the issue. “Our talks with the US have failed,” said Saeed, while talking to the media before addressing a public gathering on Sunday.

“They (the US) didn’t tender an apology over the Salala attack, nor agreed upon stopping the drone strikes,” Saeed pointed out.

Nato supplies have remained closed since the Salala checkpost attack in November, 2011.

However, Saeed made it clear that the Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) will continue to oppose the resumption of supplies, if the situation ever arises.

“If supplies are ever resumed, it will only entrench the US further in Afghanistan,” warned Saeed.

When questioned about the recent sectarian unrest in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), the JuD chief held the US and India responsible for the strife.

Alleging that India aims to create a new state by combining parts of G-B with Laddakh, Saeed asserted that “the US will also be able to achieve its objective of severing the road link between Pakistan and China.”

DPC is the real enemy of Pakistan and it’s prosperity. We need to educate people that hate begets hate, it had no boundaries it’s in-Islam. Islam promotes good relationships with neighbours.Recommend

Naturally Sunni Tehreek which is part of DPC has nothing to do with this…Sadly people like kaalchakra will even believe him. You cannot solve a problem that you do not even recognize.

I have one basic question. Why is US apology so important when Musharraf left over 2000 soldiers to die in the Kargil episode. Not only that, the entire Army did not even claim their dead bodies and India had to burry them in Indian territory. Musharraf and the entire Army disgraced even its own dead soldiers. Musharraf later agreed that regular army of Pakistan was involved in Kargil but neither he nor the Army offered any explanation why even the dead soldiers were ignored so disgracefully. No leader of any political party or the religious parties or the news media or Judiciary or even the common Pakistanis raised any questions and everyone is least concerned, even today. Does Hafiz Saeed or Hamid Gul have anything to comment on this ?

If our army disgraced the dead soldiers, we would`nt be still digging to find them in the recent glacier fall!! I pity for the same Indian soldiers for whom Indians never claimed as well! Our soldiers live and die, everyday at Kargil to defend the border of Pakistan, and every Pakistani appreciate it, not all have to be said by showing off!

Pro DPC people should go look at international news sites that allow commenting and look at what people say in regard to the man recently being found dead. You’ll be forced out of your false self image and see exactly where you stand in the world.
You’ve become some of the most hated people on the planet. The predictable response is to say something about the US being hated. But, I assure you, you have left the US in the dust and then some. Even former humanitarian supporters are calling to turn Pakistan into a parking lot.

This man was so smug until Munter cleared the confusion over the non-existent bounty. Of course he is going to blame all that ails us on these two nations, keeping the Saudis cleanly out. What else do we expect from people whose only ideology is violence.

@Ayaz Mahmood: “America and Israel are involved directly in the global terrorism since World War I. and India is their partner for last 65 years.”

India did not even have diplomatic relations with Israel until 1991 i.e. the first 44 years of its existence. Secondly, it was Pakistan that was a member of SEATO/CENTO and partnered with US in the Afghan jihad not India. India was a leader of the non-aligned movement – a movement which became irrelevant once Soviet union collapsed.
