MIRPUR: An attempt to cross the Line of Control by hundreds of activists of the Jammu & Kashmir National Students Federation (NSF) was successfully foiled by the police at the Seiri Chattar village Mirpur division on Saturday. “No one was hurt as police contingents successfully overpowered the procession of at least 100 activists of the NSF,” said Superintendent Police Ghulam Akber Chaudhry while talking to The Express Tribune. The district police chief said that the call for crossing the LoC was given by the NSF on the eve of this historic day of Karachi-pact related to the history of Jammu & Kashmir. According to organisers, the activists had planned to enter into Indian Kashmir to apprise the world of the irrelevancy of the LoC.
