The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), has started installation of low tension (LT) capacitors in tube-wells in two selected feeders of Taxila sub-division.
The project is part of USAID’s Power Distribution Program to reduce the power demand from the feeders, improve voltage and reduce technical losses.
A total of 2,600 LT capacitors will be installed on tube-wells to help the government reform its energy sector and address the problems of power distribution companies.
Currently the three-year project is assisting Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, Multan Electric Power Company and IESCO.
