Islamic Banking: SCB opens flagship branch

Branch provides added value to customers through the new Islamic banking proposition.

LAHORE: As part of its commitment to provide high quality Shariah-compliant banking products and services, Standard Chartered has inaugurated its flagship Islamic branch at a new location in Gulberg, Lahore. “This has renewed focus on the bank’s Islamic banking and the newly launched Consumer Banking Islamic Customer Value Proposition,” says the bank in a press release. This branch provides added value to customers through the new Islamic banking proposition, the bank says, adding the key proposition that Standard Chartered Saadiq offers its customers is a similar range of products, similar quality of service and access to the same, extensive distribution channels that conventional customers are accustomed to. Present on the occasion were V Shankar, CEO for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Americas and Mohsin Nathani, CEO of Standard Chartered Pakistan.
