KARACHI: The All-Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association demonstrated near Bilawal House on Thursday to protest against the rise in prices of Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants (POL) products.
After breaking through barriers set up by the police on the Boat Basin to Bilawal House road, the protesters circled Bilawal Roundabout, causing a traffic jam in the area.
Police had warned protestors that they will resort to shelling if the demonstration is moved towards the main gate of Bilawal House and that more personnel would be called in to thwart any such attempts.
