Argentinean poetry festival: Kishwar Naheed to represent Pakistan

She is the only poet invited from Pakistan at the festival which will be held in Buenos Aires from April 22 to 28.

ISLAMABAD: Noted poet, writer and outspoken activist Kishwar Naheed has been invited to participate in an international poetry festival. She is the only poet invited from Pakistan by the organisers at the festival which will be held in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina from April 22 to 28. “It is an honour not only for me but Pakistan to represent the country in such an international literary event,” she told The Express Tribune. Naheed is an established and award-winning feminist poet who writes predominantly in Urdu about female sexuality, politics and social issues. Her work has been translated into English and Spanish.
