KARACHI: The government will adhere to decisions taken in the Energy Conference regarding uniform load shedding across the country, and will implement the decision on early closure of markets, said Minister for Water and Power Naveed Qamar on Monday. In a meeting with representatives of the Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC), the federal minister said that KESC should also adhere to the decision of uniformed load shedding in the country. He further asked the representatives to design a load shedding plan for markets in a way that markets close early. He said Punjab should not face the brunt of load shedding and the federal government will ask other provinces to cooperate in this regard.
