No further extension: GHQ recalls 7 majors from ERRA

Army GHQ rejects recommendations that their services in ERRA be extended.

ISLAMABAD:


The Pakistan Army has recalled seven officers who were appointed in the Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA).


According to sources, army general headquarters (GHQ) rejected the recommendations that their services in ERRA be extended, and asked the officers to report to their respective departments within the next 20 days.

Lt Gen (retd) Obaidur Rehman has issued orders to send back the seven serving majors at ERRA. These include Major Fazalur Rehman, Major Qazi Yousuf Mehmood Siddiqui, Major Rashid Masood, Major Shujat Shah, Major Aamir Saeed, Major Ikramullah and Major Jalil Ahmed.

Shazia Haris, ERRA’s spokeswoman while talking to the daily Express, asserted that each of these officers have served in the ERRA for three years already.
