ISLAMABAD: Had he taken care to fold the motorbike’s stand and wear a helmet, Muhammad Shaukat would have been alive today. Shaukat died on the spot after hitting the road head-first. He, along with his friend Muhammad Riaz, both from Rawalpindi, fell from his motorbike near Lake View Park on Friday. The accident occurred after his bike’s open parking stand hit the road, causing it to swerve 180 degrees. The rider lost control and both of them went up high in the air before landing on the concrete road. “Unfortunately for Shaukat, he landed on his head down,” said a police official. Riaz suffered injuries and was shifted to Pims, where his condition is stated to be critical.
