Six dead, 16 injured as shopping plaza collapses in Gujranwala
Police officials and residents of the area immediately started rescue work.
GUJRANWALA:
Six people died after two under-construction levels of a shopping plaza in Gujranwala collapsed on Friday, Express News reported. The incident injured 16 people while a number of people are still trapped under the rubble.
The under-construction floors, being built upon the first floor of the shopping centre, collapsed and trapped shop owners and shoppers underneath it.
Police officials and residents of the area immediately started rescue work, evacuating and transporting the injured to a nearby hospital.
A number of people are still believed to be trapped under the rubble.
