Karachi violence: 5 including gang war suspects killed

Police were unable to make arrests in any of the incidents.

KARACHI: Violence in Karachi continued today as unidentified men fired at and killed two people, including a member of a political party, whereas the police recovered three dead bodies from different parts of the city.

A body found near Taimuria DC Office was identified as Imran Baloch, alias Chota Rehman Dakait, an accomplice of Lyari gang war suspects in Liaquatabad Ilyas Goth, police officials said.

Police said the deceased was kidnapped and killed, after which the body was thrown out of a moving car. He was a resident of North Nazimabad Block J and was temporarily residing in the Manghopir Sultanabad area.

In a similar incident, a body found in a gunny bag in Gharibabad was identified as 42-year-old Sala Abdul Razaq Baloch. The deceased was an accomplice of gang war suspect Ahmed Ali Magsi and a resident of PIB colony.

In New Karachi, police found the body of an unidentified man inside a gunny bag near a hotel. According to the police, the deceased was kidnapped and tortured before being killed.

A political party member, Gul Daad was standing outside his house in the Peerabad area of Orangi Town when unidentified men opened fire, killing him.

In another incident, unidentified men fired at and killed Muhammad Shahid in Korangi sector 51C.

Police were unable to make arrests in any of the incidents.
