QUETTA: During a hearing on the Balochistan security situation, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry ordered an FIR to be filed against three ministers whose names were mentioned in Mir Zafarullah Zehri’s written statement, Express News reported.
A hearing on the security situation of the province is underway in the Supreme Court, Quetta Branch Registry in Balochistan, in which Provincial Interior Minister Balochistan‚ Mir Zafarullah Zehri’s written statement was presented in the court.
The statement contained information about the alleged involvement of provincial ministers in the incidents of kidnapping for ransom.
Based on the statement, the Chief Justice ordered an FIR to be filed against the three ministers whose names were mentioned in the statement and asked for evidence pertaining to the same.
On the occasion, President of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association (BHBA) Zahoor Shahwani presented a record of Provincial Minister Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sadiq Imrani’s statement in the assembly in which it was said that security agencies were killing people.
Commenting on the statement which was filed two months ago, The Chief Justice addressed the Interior Secretary Naseebullah Bazai asking what he had done in this regard since then.
Bazai replied that in the past three years, 349 bodies have been found whereas in the last year, there there have been 203 instances of target killings.
Justice Tariq Parvez said that no security guard wearing plain clothes was allowed to roam around carrying weapons.

Kidnapping for ransome has become the most profitable trade in the Province. Some high-profile ministers are not only involved in kidnapping but they are also supporting target killers. Mastermind of target killings have been seen several times in the official vehicle of a famous provincial minister. Police, IB and other intellgence agencies are fully aware of the fact but they don't want to put their lives in danger by disclosing such "confidentials". Let's see if the Provincial Interior Minister has courage to disclose their names as well since, I am sure he is also aware of the facts.
Even when the CJ has directed to file FIRs, the media is still not revealing/divulging the names of the Ministers involved in kidnapping. If it was some poor man or law abiding organization/individual, the media would have dressed him down before confirmation.That goes for independent media
You see what Bazai has done? He is trying to hide the real problem....he says 203 instances of target killing. But that does not reflect the number of people killed in these incidents. Makes you wonder why is he trying to hide it.... Let us do this work for him.
Reading from the news sources 203 instances where majority were incidents where more than one person was targeted, lets say 2 persons were killed in each attack although there have been a lot of instances where more than 5 persons were killed, like the attack few days ago on Spini road or the Mastung incident. This means the death toll is around 400 possibly higher. Yet the problem is still not at the forefront.
Cheif justice take notice of what is the real problem is and find out why the facts are not presented the way they are.

Army needs to give up Gen. Mushraf's policies and look for political reconciliation to bring stability and peace.
